Great place to stay on this visit. Front desk people were very helpful and also the breakfast people - although I didn’t care much for the breakfast. When you park, best to park on the west side because on the east side none of the parking lot lights work. Public access to the beach is extremely limited in this region however across the road there is a public access area very small but you do have free parking and dogs are not allowed on the beach. Homewood Suites was nice. The service staff is very attentive. The free breakfast was average. The coffee was terrible. The pool was clean and spacious. The cornhole boards were a hit. The room left a little to be desired. We ordered a king suite. We expected to have a queen bed in the living room area. Instead, we had a sleeper sofa with springs that seemed like they l were manufactured in the 70s. That was very disappointing.

One of the more disappointing Hilton experience I’ve had overall. The positive was the location is overall great. It is about a mile one way to walk to the beach and you do have to cross a major intersection to get to it. So direct beach access isn’t great, but getting to restaurants and shops is. The bad was the floor we stayed on, and throughout the hotel, smelled strongly of marijuana all 4 days we were there. I’m sure the hotel struggles with guests doing this, but it was excessive.
