The hotel lost power, and the front desk staff were unwilling to help us with other accommodations. We had to bring our luggage down 4 flights of stairs with no assistance because the elevator was down. Insane. The male workers just stood there and watched 4 women haul their luggage down. Didn’t even offer to help. I used to work for Hilton, and I know reservations can be transferred to another Hilton property, they just didn’t want to. Terrible service. Do better.
The rooms are nice but they seem to get smaller after having to stay in one for nearly 2 and a half months now recovering from a dual lung transplant which UVA requires. And that's about the shortest amount of required time,most are much longer. The service has been very good. The location is good I guess for this area but it not what I like. Give me my good 'Ole country living any day over this fast city life!
Centrally located amongst the city and the wineries. Rooms are well apointed and the free breakfast is one of the better ones that I have experienced.
