1 STAR — One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and it had very little to do with housekeeping. It was the manager’s attitude. I travel frequently and stay in hotels all over the country, and I have never experienced a situation handled as poorly as this one. I left my room at approximately 11:00 AM and returned around 6:00 PM to find my room completely untouched and uncleaned. Homewood suites by hilton boston seaport massachusetts is an Excellent hotel. Service was great. Breakfast is good you have a lot of variety to eat. Natalie at reception was very helpful and Michael the assistant manager explained everything about what to do in Boston. Michael was very attentive and courteous and very kind and patient and professional. The rooms are so clean and quite big. Based on the hotel’s high reviews, I expected a much better experience. The room was okay, but the paid bay view was partially obstructed, and the pullout sofa was extremely uncomfortable. Staff refused late checkout initially has to ask a manager for help to get the noon request (which as an honors member is not normally an issue), breakfast was overcrowded with poorly stocked items and reduced hours, and the evening coffee wasn’t replenished.
