Used them as a landlord. Very poor correspondence and communication from their staff. Very hard to reach. Payments are always late. Always have to double check in to make sure things are done in timely fashion. My property was vacant for almost a year for no good reasons. Robin, albeit very very pleasant, runs a very lean business, understaffed… and it shows in her product. I urge her to work on these feedbacks objectively to try to improve her business. If not, I would avoid her as a management professional. Best of luck.
I am certain that they took our application feed knowing that the property we were interested in was already rented. We paid a total of $225 in application fees one evening and the very next day it was no longer available. Please save yourself some money and do not work with these people. Horrible company.
EDITING TO ADD: After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, it should be noted that Hometown Realty replied to the complaint answering to none of the issues raised, and made it seem like I got off lucky for not incurring more penalties due to the absolute negligent care of the property in question. I should have known from my first correspondence that this was no company to do business with. Luckily, I managed to not get stuck in a lease with them. But I am still out several hundred dollars due to their negligence. I attempted to rent a property from this company back in July. *DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY* they will never fulfill maintenance request. They asked me to move out with 5 days notice because of an issue they refuse to repair. There is visible mold in the ducting and several months later they have still not resolved the issue. Absolutely terrible tenant service. The absolute worst management company I have ever dealt with.
