We received the letter from Loan department and it says from next month our mortgage lender will be transferred to other company which is low rate. The loan officer sent us his card every year but he never mentioned about this big change!! No compassion from this company. Just so rude for the loyal customer to transfer our mortgage to other company without saying anything just a suddenly. Can they do legally to sell mortgage business to other company without the customer's consent???
Homestreet Bank has questionable business practices. Last year they took duplicate house payments when I was signed up for automatic payments and it took a great deal of effort to get them to admit they had done so. When I called they said they didn't show the double payment, even though the amount had been taken from my bank account! Fast forward to now (and I've had not trouble). We got a loan through HomeStreet Bank and I would not recommend them and will never get another loan through them. After our real estate transaction closed, we got a letter from them saying that we did not have Hazard Insurance for our property. But, we would not have gotten the loan if we had not provided proof that we had Hazard Insurance.
