We recently bought a house and the seller chose Homestead as the title company. Our experience was pretty bad with them. They told us that we could close remotely. When they sent us the documents to sign the day before closing, they had the wrong address on them. It took them hours to fix it which delayed our ability to sign. They then had the nerve to ask us if we wired the money before they fixed the documents. We unfortunately got stuck with using this title company when purchasing our first home in Colorado. Maybe she just has too much on her plate, but Gina was not great to deal with. First of all, it was like pulling teeth to get the earnest money transfer instructions. Then, she didn't provide a receipt to our lender for the earnest money on the day it was received, which caused a lot of headaches. The sellers could have cancelled escrow because of this. Worst closing experience I’ve ever had. They forgot to include several important documents that we needed to sign and we had to spend thousands in legal fees to figure out how to handle the situation. Then I got an $830 bill from Denver Water containing charges from before the closing date. This is an account they are supposed to settle and just never did. They are not responding to our emails regarding the situation. I am 100% dissatisfied and will never conduct any transaction with Homestead again
I work with Bern ALOT! She is a classy, honest, hardworking title representative. She has strong communication skills and is very professional. I love that I can call Bern anytime and ask as many questions needed and she doesn't get annoyed or frustrated. Thank you for always being able to answer questions for my clients!
Garbage company that uses shady practices when they mess up on paperwork so they don’t have to redo it. My review is the attached picture. I would 100% never use this company again.
