Always impressed! We go to the Homestead on special occasions as well. We have always really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. It can be very busy but we have never had to wait to long. The food is good, maybe a bit pricey.
Bad Salad (buyer beware) I used to work here and they used to make us recylcle the salad that would come back from the dining room. I would get yelled at if I went through to much fresh veggies. I guess they wanted to save money on produce. I'm not sure if this still goes on but I would imagine if the owners still run the business the same way it must.
One of the nicer places in the Lakes Region This is my special occassion restaurant. It is classy and yet it is family friendly for those with small children. The food is very good. I particlurly like the tenderloin with bernaise sauce. And I really like the atmosphere of the little rooms with the fire places going. Although I have to say that if you get stuck sitting by a window in the winter it is very drafty and cold.
