Geri is a wonderful person. This place is beautiful: clean, great views, quiet. Well managed.

Jerri (the owner) was absolutely amazing! The base housing situation on MCAGCC 29 Palms is less than desirable and very slow in some/most cases to get people situated where they needed to be. That said, Jerri is extremely hospitable and provides lodging at a very reasonable rate (cheaper than the BOQ by about half the price). The rooms aren't anything more than you would get in a hotel, but the cost savings you get (plus free laundry and an awesome landlady with local knowledge/recommendations) is very well worth it, especia... read more

The Homestead Inn is conveniently located just 4 miles from the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park in the cozy town of 29 Palms. 29 Palms has basic services and restaurants and is less busy than Yucca Valley or other cities in the low desert.
