My mom suffered multiple strokes after battling stage 4 lung cancer for years, and my dad and I could not be more grateful that she ended up at the homestead II for rehab. From the moment we arrived here by ambulance they made us feel like family. They kept her comfortable, clean, and most importantly-safe. Visited friend there. Nursing stations and entrance are clean and nice. But you can tell buildings are old. Rooms are not like the pictures as wide angle lens make them look much bigger and newer than they really are. They are more like a dorm room. Some beds face into a bare corner - very depressing. You might walk thru smoke or smell heavy cigarette smell around the entrance as that's where staff seems to smoke. Schedule and coordination? I currently have both of my parents at Homestead II. One is a resident for long term care and the other is their for rehab. The care they are both getting is fantastic. The staff is awesome and keep you updated on thier condition, any issues that may come up. They give you regular progress as well.

I had to find a rehab center that our insurance company would cover her stay. I had to choose from 10 centers in the area, and finally found a dimond in the rough. After going to 4 rehab centers in the last year where they treated her as if she didn't exist. The food is good. The staff treat her as she is a part of the family.
