Florida Girl My BF and I moved into these apts at the begining of this year. We got a good deal and rent is reasonable for the area. Although these apts are not the nicest one's around I feel safe there and we have never had any issues. We have an apt on 3rd floor so we have nice vaulted cielings and a quiet lanai with a view of the pond, washer & dryer came with the apt. Pool is nice an usually not packed with to many kids. DO NOT LIVE HERE This place looks nice but it is WAY overpriced and the management is horrible. I have had numerous problems since I have moved in and each time the management has displayed poor attitude and an unwillingness to help.Frequently there is dog pee in the hallways/elevators, the ventilation is terrible and I can smell people smoking all the time, my dishwasher broke and flooded my apartment, the doorman are lazy and unhelpful, the dry cleaning lady is rude, you can hear various noises (loud music, appliances runn... read more
VERY NOISY, CHEAP APPLIANCES and HORRIBLE CABINETS Looks good when you first walk in..but it so cheaply appointed. The bathroom cabinets are only doors no drawers, Who has ever heard of no drawers in the bathroon sink area??? That is how cheap everything is!! Horrible lighting glares in your eyes with giant cheap clear ball lights. The appliances are the cheapest on the market..garbage. Southern Village Apartments Southern Village Apartments are luxurious apartments located in a great neighborhood. Everything here is at your fingetips, there is a movie theather right next to the apartments, as well as a couple of restaurants and a small grocery store where you can buy some great organic pastries and other heathy snacks. There are underground parking decks and the apartment complex is great, almost brand new. Great place to rent A nice rental community for downtown commuters. Located just adjacent to the Route 59 metro station. Spacious apartments and clean and well maintained surroundings. SLightly expensive but worth it. They have several residential parties and a nice clubhouse and gym for the residents.
Wouldn't live there I lived in this builidng for a year. The apartments look nice-- lots of white; light-colored carpets; modern high quality appliances every where, washer and dryer in the unit. These apartments were initially built (on a former parking lot) to be condos, but after much of the building was done, it was decided that they would be apartments. Decent place Lived here for 6 months while waiting for a condo to be built. Management was actually very nice and accomodating. The apartment itself is decent enough, but can use some work.

The swimming pool was dirty most of the time. Once, I saw a duck swimming there (not sure how the duck got there in the first place). Parking was a real pain for guests.
