Kim Brooks did not mitigate dirt debris and dust when building next to ours. Terrible corporate citizen: Mr. X, We are in receipt of your email regarding the dirt in your rocks. I am sorry dirt is blowing in your yard, however, Homes by Kim Brooks will take no action in Cleaning your rocks/yard. You may want to look into installing Black Silt Fence to help slow down the dirt until your neighbor stabilizes the ground in some way. Thank you,

Beware of giving this company earnest money. We initially had a great experience with a Realtor that supposedly does not work for the company but when we inquired information from the builder the Realtor called us back with information (very strange). However, the Realtor got us excited and showed us the model home and plans. When we decided to work with her and the company we picked a floor plan and gave her earnest money check. It was a fight the whole build. After moving in we replaced all the cheap fixtures and most were installed incorrectly. Holes were drilled in the ceiling light brace, we had to replace the entire mount to add a fan. Our home has the layout we wanted but we’ve spend the entire first 6 months fixing poor quality work.

Three of his homes in Desert Ridge Trails have leaking roofs. There may be more, but these 3 already are had/having repaired. Per roofing repair company - and verified by pictures they took -- original Kim Brooks job was "unprofessional" and not per code. Even had bare plywood beneath Spanish tile. In another case, had water pipe develop a hole in it. It was not galvanized as it should have been per the repair plumber.

Beware of giving this company earnest money.They will make it very hard to get a refund even if your loan is turned down.Not caring in any way of your circumstance.Our Mom dying of cancer and can no longer be on the loan that was turned down unwilling to refund earnest money in full or in part.
