As a regular Hilton guest I expect better. The facility has good amenities and the evening front desk help was terrific, but breakfast was a disaster and there were many minor deficiencies. Problems with breakfast were there were no utensils -- eventually somebody found a drawer with a few forks but no knives; no fruit; no rolls, pastries or bagels (just slices of white bread); limited seating (options were sitting elbow to elbow with other guests or going outside). This was my second time staying at Home2 Suites in Layton, Utah, and once again, it exceeded my expectations. I stayed for two weeks, and the comfort, cleanliness, and service were top-notch from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. My room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a long stay. Hallway smelled like dirty feet, paper towels were not stocked and neither was the toilet paper. The shower head sprayed in every direction but where my head was. Sink in kitchen was gross. Had food pieces in it. Was woken up by housekeeping at 8am asking if I was going to check out. Just overall dissatisfied.
