TRAVEL BALL PARENTS STAY AWAY! Rooms smell like cigarettes, mildew / mold and have COCKROACHES !! I complained about the smell in the room EVERYDAY. The only thing the front desk would do for me is give me a can of deodorizer the first two nights and then a can of Lysol the 3rd night. With every hotel booked in the area, we were trapped with no where else to go. We are staying here now for a week for a our sons baseball tournament. We have had problems with our room since we arrived. We looked into to moving hotels but everything was either booked or very expensive. I got this hotel at a better rate since I am a Hilton honors member and booked it months in advance. Our room smells like old cigarettes. We complained to the front desk daily and were given deodorizer and Lysol to spray the room ourselves. I selected my room the day before arrival but someone changed my room selection. When checking in, the front deck gave me a room with many problems such as a loose/broken sink faucet, wall hangers and very difficult turning shower faucet. When asking about the room pre-selection, the front desk lady gave a really lame/laughable excuse. I am a hilton honor member and always stay with Hampton Inn if possible. We are here for a baseball tournament for a week with our younger kids who like to pass the time in between games in the pool. The pool here is disgusting. I told the front desk nicely that the pool needed attention 3 days ago and it still hasn’t been cleaned. I went in there and did it myself in hopes that it would be “good enough “ for the kids to swim and pulled out clumps of hair, a bandaid, sticks, gum, and a giant centipede. First time here. Leak in the ceiling. People above had left faucet running. Hotel attendant was very nice and helpful. Relocated me to a new room and update my keyless entry. Great stay.
