Heartless customer service. I orginally booked a one-night, non-refundable stay without any intentions of canceling, but unfortunately, our little one has fallen ill and needed to cancel our whole spring break trip. I contacted them through CapitalOne way in advance but the hotel denied my refund request. I even called the hotel directly, spoke to Jamie at the frontdesk yesterday, she was nice enough to listen and understand our situation. Very close to Monterey without paying Monterey prices. Easy to access from the highway, one downside is the street leading to the property is rather narrow but easy to pass. Quiet and did not hear any outside noise during the night.
Good place for families. Beds are fairly comfortable, not too stiff, definitely not spongy. Lots of pillows, both feather and stiffer pillows. Rooms are big, lots of lights and plugs. Kitchenette is well stocked and so convenient. Quiet, we did not hear much noise in the hall or from adjoining rooms. Room phone has a set of chargers built in. Close enough to everything but more reasonable cost. Bigger rooms and decent food. Newer hotel than those in Carmel and Monterey.
Overall, this is a nice, modernized hotel in a great location. It’s conveniently located across from a shopping plaza with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment options. The room was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. However, I did notice persistent noise throughout the night — there were noticeable echoes in the walls, though I couldn’t determine the source.
