We used this company with the hope of protecting the largest investment of our lives and have been terribly disappointed at significant financial cost. The inspector missed the lack of safety mechanisms on the garage doors. Because this type of door apparently hasn’t been allowed in NY since 1993, the two doors cannot be repaired but must be replaced. My experience with Jim at Home Sweet Home could not have been better! I walked through the inspection with him and he taught me so much about the home I was about to purchase. He helped me distinguish between the issues that were important and those that were not so important. This is by far the best home inspection company on the island. Jim trained all of his staff and is a home improvement savant/genius. He knows everything about everything. He goes above and beyond when inspecting a home you want to purchase. He checks everything and will thoroughly answer any question you have. I cannot say enough good things about them.
