Or enjoy our frozen pizza made with the same all-natural ingredients, homemade sauces and sausage without a single additive or preservative. I have grown up eating HRI Pizza. And I must say it is still some of the best tasting pizza around. While the location and the ambiance of the 31st location may be difficult for many (i.e., gangbangers arguing a few tables away)I would suggest you order ahead, probably not on weekend day, and take your pizza to go. I have had hit and misses as far as how the pizza tastes at the HRI in Darien, but I don't hold that against them. Sometimes, it wasnt to my taste. Overall this pizza is genuine and worth the fuss.
I hate to write this...but, – I live in the neighborhood and I don't take my family this Home Run Inn.We take our kids to the other chains out in the suburbs and you WILL taste the difference.This is the pizza we remembered growing up.Try to go around 12pm to 4pm if you choose to go to this one.The buffet is between 11am to 2pm I believe.There is a very busy park across the street and most parking is taken up by the park people.If your are going to pick up a pizza...park at the west lot across the street and walk the few hun... read more
Childhood memories – When I think of Home Run Inn Pizza I think of the original resuarant on 31st street near Cicero Ave. Growing up in that neighborhood we used to walk there order a pizza and eat it on the way home. mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm I can still taste the great flavor of Home Run Inn Pizza.
LEARN TO EAT GOOD PIZZA – I HAVE BEEN GOING TO HOME RUN INN PIZZA FOR ABOUT 50 YEARS! I HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD EVEN ITALEY AND THEY CANT COME CLOSE! I MOSTLY LIVE IN MEXICO AND WHEN I GO BACK TO CHICAGO I BRING BACK A SUITECASE OF HOME RUNN IN PIZZA AND PUT IT IN THE FROZER!YOU NEED SOMEONE WITH BETTER TASTE TO JUDGE PIZZA WORKING FOR YOU!
Best Pizza Around – This is literally the best pizza I have ever tasted. Every time I go to Chicago I HAVE to have it.
WE MISS YOU – We moved to San Diego 7 years ago and still make trips to Home Run Inn a regular part of our vacatiion plans whenever we come to town. Pleeeease branch out to San Diego..... We NEED real Pizza out here.
True Chicago Style Pizza!!! – The pizza is great at the restaurant. They also offer a frozen version in grocery stores which is also the best frozen pizza. just cook it right on the oven rack and its the next best thing to being at the restaurant. I've been in Chicago 26 yrs and its #1.
this pizza is more like a grand slam – great pizza !!!!if you know anything about pizza. You will know that this pizza ranks supreme.
Nothing Can Compare – I can not explain in words what exactly it is about this pizza that I will travel in rain, sleet, snow and the height of traffic to go and eat. It is to the point that I will literally eat at least two pieces before I can even leave the parking lot. I will choose this pizza over deep dish anytime - HRI is definitely the best in Chicago!!!
