Highly recommend Home Matters Construction. We had a big project that we were planning for over 10 years. Interviewed several contractors and only Home Matters was able to give me a clear cut plan with upfront pricing. Big shout out to Jon our project manager. This is a warning to current clients and future ones. Home Matters is going into Bankruptcy and closing their doors. Do not hire them as they have no money to pay for their projects. They haven’t paid their contractors either. I just came home today and received a letter from the company that Home Matters contracted with asking me for the payment for the drywall that they installed into my house. A few years back We awarded Home Matters to do a remodel/repairs of extensive damage/mold found in a room. Things from the quoting to construction went great. Fast forward to a few months ago when we noticed our family was getting sick and me sneezing extensively in the room. The culprit being the area of repairs. Mold was found growing throughout and never fully mitigated, the wood rot they never replaced was worse off to a point you could feel siding. Home Matters managed the complete renovation of our master bath (gut and replace) and updating of 2 other bathrooms. Their communication was very good, the quality of the work was excellent, all of the subcontractors that were in our home were very professional. It was a lot of work and the project took longer than the initial estimates, but we are completely satisfied with the outcome.
I’ve been working with Home Matters Construction as a vendor for nearly a year now and it’s an absolute pleasure to do business with them. Everyone on their team is such a joy, putting customers first and providing a great product. It seems like they’re always working on something to improve systems and processes, frequently checking in to ensure that I’m taken care of. I would not hesitate to hire them for my own personal construction projects!
