We have had a difficult time with reliability and the quality of aides coming in to care for an elderly parent. The inconsistency and turnover of staffing has not been a positive experience. Aides have canceled at the last minute or even after a shift was supposed to start, leaving us in a position where there is no back up and no one to cover for care. I am writing this for my grandmother. "I would like to let everyone know how disappointed I am with Home Instead. Without any notice, they called on Friday afternoon and said they would not be coming anymore and that day would be my last with their help. I need help with my husband, getting him out of bed and help bathing him. Leaving me with no help, and difficulty finding someone over the weekend. Am I wrong thinking they should have given me more notice? Or is consideration not in their policy?"
