I wanted to write a quick review of Home Instead. When my father turned 90 he was still living alone but needed help around the house on occasion. Home instead helped us work with his VA benefit so he could have someone come into his home to help him a few days a week. We chose Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We feel like our caregiver Cheyanne was literally an angel plucked right out of heaven to take care of my Mom. With my Mom almost 80 years old and diagnosed with Parkinson’s 8 years ago, keeping her safe and her home has been a challenge. We called Alyssa at Home Instead who promptly scheduled a home visit. Remaining healthy and happy during the pandemic is due to our wonderful caregiver. She has removed our risks to coronavirus exposure by limiting herself to our care only. In addition to her consistent help with our individual activities of daily living, she established protocols to prevent our home from potential infection with front door deliveries and mail.
