Initially I was very impressed. I needed someone in a hurry for after-hospitalization care. However, in the two and a half weeks I had 13 different caregivers, only one, or possibly two, of which I would ever have back again. In addition I was only given one piece of paper, no copies of anything I signed at the initial contact. I had no opportunity to review all the papers that were thrown at me to sign. I don’t know how we would have stayed sane during the past year without our amazing home caregivers! We clearly have the “dream team !” Judy Shaw is here in the daytime, and Ivonne Limongi is our overnight guardian. These two women are simply the best caregivers ever! In addition, we have excellent help from Marcia Merritt. Home Instead is a must-have if one ever needs a companion or caregiver!
We have been using Home Instead in Chesapeake for over 6 years and during that time, they have been professional, caring, and attentive to our needs. We would also like to especially recognize our care companion Carolyn who has been our main caregiver. She has a sweet and loving personality that she brings to our home every shift—always uplifting.
