We used Home Instead in Hickory for a period of a few weeks in late July, early August 2026. We only needed the few weeks to allow respite for my wife and I, who care for our mother in another city, but she returned to her home in Hickory with my brother caring for her in her home during this time. The lady from Home Instead is doing an amazing job with my mother!! She comes in & is so motivated & ready to assist mom in anything she needs - Laundry, coffee, cleaning dishes from the night before & making a healthy breakfast!! She reminds mom of her medications & checks her blood pressure!! She stays busy but also makes the time to be there for my mother - companionship! And that is so important!!! Thank you Tiea!!

We moved to Hickory almost 3 months ago. From Day 1, Home Instead has done an outstanding job, providing qualified caregivers who know how to use an electric Hoyer Lift. My husband has MS, uses a power wheelchair and can't transfer or walk. Their company staff are very dedicated, working hard to get us the experienced caregivers for any shifts we need. My family and I are so lucky to have found such a caring person as Caroline Hill through Home Insread. My Mom is much happier than she was being alone each day. She's excited for each new day to discover what she is going to receive help with meals, organizing various ares of her home, help getting exercise when warm, and daily household chores. Julia Whitney has been a devoted care giver for two family members of ours for many years. Her dedication and level of care has been second to none. She has gone above and beyond any basic standard of care and in addition to being a care giver offering many of the daily requirements that present itself she has been a friend to those she cares for and their family and friends! She gives us peace of mind knowing that our loved ones are in good hands when we are not able to be with them ourselves!
