Heather has been an incredible caregiver for my nana. She is with her a few hours a couple days a week, but the compassion, kindness, and dedication she shows goes far beyond the time she’s there. Caregivers were great. However, the company had my mom pay for two weeks upfront and after one week of care center sent invoice for that week of care. Then they proceeded to take that money out of her account, even though they’ve already been paid for two weeks . I was told that we could do nothing about it until their next billing cycle in two weeks. So they basically left my mom penniless until after the first of the month. Way to take advantage of the elderly.

Home Instead, as the name suggests, is for me a workplace like a home. I received all my training here, if I have a doubt, question or problem regarding work I simply pick up the phone and get an answer, if there is a requirement for a task I have no experience in - I call and at a time that is convenient for me I come to the office to receive training and coaching. I’ve been working for home instead for over a year and I can safely say that it is good place to work. The staff at the crystal lake office are kind, patient and understanding. They work with their employees and they’ll create a work schedule that is right for you. Communication is always efficient and the staff is always there when you need them. I love working at HomeInstead as a care pro because I get to help people out and make them feel at ease, and they are so appreciative! The team in the office are very efficient and helpful plus they genuinely care for the clients and their workers.
