Maddy has been helping my dad with activities of daily life for the past four years. She has been indispensable! We value her practical approach to getting things done, and she’s built a great trusting relationship with my dad. I know I couldn’t have handled getting my dad I know I couldn’t have handled getting my dad to all his appointments without her help. Knowing she’s there to assist my dad during the day allows me to focus on work and have peace of mind!
All of the staff at Home Instead in Skokie were caring and supportive during my wife's brief but intense time in hospice at home. The team went out of their way to accommodate our changing needs on very short notice. Home care can be complex, requiring expert case management in addition to skilled caregivers. Home Instead excels at both. I highly recommend the exceptional Skokie team. I intend to use them again when the need arises.
We called Home Instead when mom needed someone with her daily and soon we needed 24/7 care. The team quickly adjusted our care plan. Everyone we worked with was professional and very caring. My husband and I live out of state. We received updates from every shift through the Honor app. It was such a blessing to see that mom was receiving loving care. I highly recommend the Home Instead care team.
Our caregiver Ruth provided excellent care for our beloved family member who was in hospice care. She showed great empathy for him while he was struggling with a difficult diagnosis. She took time to get to know him and his interests. Seeing that he loved to write, she helped set up a way in which he could comfortably sit and write while in bed. Colleen is a wonderful caregiver. She did everything I asked her to do. She was patient with me. I have a hearing problem. So if she was swearing under her breath, I couldn’t hear it. LOL. What a beautiful person. Her name is Colleen Gay.
