Home Improvement Inc. states on their business cards they are A+ BBB rated. They are not even rated. ******* was contracted to install our roof. He took almost a year after we gave him our check to complete the roof and was hard to get a hold of. It was a stressful period of wondering if we had been scammed. He did NOT get a permit for the roof and never got the inspection certificate to us. We are selling our home and had to pay another reputable company to certify the roof. We contracted with Home Improvement Inc. (Stephan Johnson) last August to replace driveway & sidewalks as well as installing a French drain, a handrail, some gutters & caulk a joint where exterior side walls meet and add a gutter. The driveway & sidewalks were completed in late October but the remaining work was not. $2000 was withheld from the payment but the cost of the remaining work was about $4000 to $5000. I would rate this guy and his company a MINUS 5 STAR, He pulled the same thing with me on the removal of side walks driveway and front porch, his crew wrecked my railing , gutters ,my ornamental lighting in my flower garden and ruined my grass on both sides of my drive way . His crew started on a Wednesday and was going to pour cement Friday morning, they were suppose to put rebar down and only had a few laid , on Friday morning two cement trucks showed up and none of the crew was there be for the trucks, right then and ther... read more

DO NOT hire this company!! Stephan ******* took $6700 as down payment on a roof that he NEVER started and his business address on his web page is bogus! I'm trying to serve court papers as I am taking him and his company to small claims court. He originally stated that he would start work in 4-6 weeks when we signed the contract last year on Sept 23rd. Work never started and he keeps coming up with excuses on how come he can't do it.
