I love optum! After moving across the country and needing a whole new team to help with my autoimmune condition and getting started on a new medication, optum has been great the whole time. My med was one that involved infusions at home (I had the NICEST and most considerate nurse, Lucinda) and then switched to at home injection pens, which involved filling through the specialty pharmacy. Optum is the worst pharmacy ever. 8 days for a prescription to be delivered.
I have 25 percent of my heart left. I called optum rx 3 times to find out where the medication was to enlarge my arteries so my blood could get through.. I have been lied to all 3 times. They blame it on the mail odd, because I needed 3 medications expedited 2 I received the next day, yet they didn't bother to put the 3rd one in the envelope. I use mail in due to the fact there is no other way to get my medication. I feel like I am just a number. Maybe I am. I feel like they don't care if their patients die
I gave them a one star because you can't give zero or a negative star. They think they know more than your doctor, will deny everything at least once, have a call center that will only read out of their script book and never directly answer a question. Had I known that UHC owns them I never would have chosen AARP UHC as my plan D provider. It won't happen again.
