Overall experience was excellent. From start to finish, Eugene N. was our rep and supported us throughout the project. He was thorough and professional. Would definitely recommend HES Solar. edit: this didn't age very well.. HES Solar's SunPower filed for bankruptcy under Ch 11. SunStrong is now managing SunPower's residential solar leases and servicing after the bunkruptcy filing. (sp error and just looked up "do a bunk" and found out it means hurried departure or escape", how fitting)
They do not follow up once you have paid. Do not answer phone calls. You are basically on your own.
Frustrated and Ignored – App Not Working, No Support I had the HES Solar system installed, and everything was fine for the first year — the app worked and I could monitor my system. But for the past year, the HES app has stopped working completely. I have no way to check if my system is even functioning properly. I have been a customer of HES since 2003. Up to a year ago they have been superb. Something has changed they do not answer messages or calls for service. I am no longer doing business with HES
Update as of 7/24 - we do not recommend this company because if anything goes wrong they are terrible to deal with. They told us our roof was fine when they installed Solar and we found out a year later that we have a 40 year old roof that should’ve been replaced before Solar was installed. They have totally messed up the reroof and we are now dealing with their liability insurance to try and get our residence repaired due to leaks and the roof reinstalled.
