We went through the application process and paid the expensive fees after seeing that we met all the rental requirements just to be told that our application was denied due to previous credit history. We met all the requirements, including the credit score so it was very frustrating paying $150 dollars just to find out that we did not qualify after seeing that we met every requirement. I've been looking for a home through home river for past month and was denied after several contacts with a rep and their assistant underwriters clearly tells me that we have a better chance on transferring to a different property with no application pending and we did that. but we still received emails that my application is still incomplete till this day so how did they process our applications and declined our refund of $155. talk to a rep online today and clearly told us an application must be complete so we can process ... read more
this place is a scam! i put in an application for a house through a link by email. it was for the wrong house. theyve taken my 150$ application fee and now they cant seem to find where ive paid this fee and will not put my apllication in at correct address. nobody at this place seems compatant enough to help. its been a run around the entire time. would proceed with caution before using this place
A bunch of crooks. Not only do they consistently raise your rent yearly. They will keep your security deposit and then say you owe thousands more dollars in repairs. Avoid renting from this company at all costs.
As a property owner, I have been more than disappointed with HomeRiver group and their management of my property. My tenants feel the same. While HomeRiver group does a great job of collecting rent from my tenants and depositing it into my bank account, they ARE NOT responsive to issues of actually managing the property (the part we hire them for). Received an unwarranted Violation notice from the Home River Group property manager. It is clear that the Violation Letter /Notice was an arbitrary, discriminatory, unreasonable and selectively enforced action that has not been implemented consistently, fairly or uniformly throughout the community.
This company is not professional at all! I applied for a property in Louisville, Ky with application fee of $75.00+$5.00=$80.00 on December 16th. I was told it would only take 3days to process. After 2 weeks of no contact, I called everyday trying to speak with the property manager Laura because she won't answer directly. I toured a property of theirs in New Albany, IN and really liked it. Despite the terrible reviews this company has all over the internet I decided to go forward with renting it. After paying the absurd $155 application fee I was told that the advertised deposit of 1225 would actually be over 1800. I initially agreed to do it then when they sent me the lease to docusign there were HUNDREDS off dollars in fees added as well that was not disclosed, this was the final straw. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM! ZERO STARS!!!! They will not repair anything only patch things up with glue! There has been over 40 maintenance request dealing with water leaks. The roof leaks during rain and the bathroom sink is cracked and constantly smells... they asked us to place buckets under both. The water heater busted and flooded the hallway floor and now the carpet smells... they sent someone to clean the carpet but without lifting up the carpet abs checking for mold so it smells of old water!
