So I wasn't going to say anything about the issue that we had when I called Holy Name Medical Center last night but it's kind of bothering me, just because they were our #1 hospital to go to for our entire family. My boyfriend was seen on 8/28/19 for a foot infection which wound up being staph. He was seen by a practitioner, who felt that it didn't need to be drained, they finally decided to try and drain it. I went for knee replacement surgery. There is a definite infection control issue. Staff members did not wash their hands, one nurse even flushed my I V with on gloves on.
I went in to the ER on doctor's orders and was admitted to 5 Chadwick for about 3-4 days. I was nervous about everything that was going on with me but had the best nurses and staff taking care of me. Whenever I felt nervous about anything they were there for me. This is the first time I've had a hospital stay for being sick and I was taken care of. Excellent care and very professional staff. The place is clean and sanitary. Fast and courteous service and their magnet status in nursing excellence says it all. 5 stars in my book as a fellow RN. Highly recommended.
Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck provided one of the best experiences from delivery to discharge. In the last 5 days we shared experiences with the nurses and doctors that cannot be captured in words.
