On 8/17/26 my mother was transferred to Holy Family hospital in Des Plaines from Ascension St Alexius in Hoffman Estates where she spent 52 days. The reason was for abdominal wound care after surviving from a ruptured appendix surgery. Mother was suppose to be on minced food and mildly thicken fluids NO STRAWS because she could aspirate AND she was to be fed.
