We have loved our home overall, but we're starting to see issues pop up much sooner than expected. For a new construction home, there really should be warranties longer than one year, especially for major systems like electrical, plumbing, and other high-cost components. WARNING! If you’re considering buying a home from Holt Homes, please read this before signing your closing documents. I purchased a brand-new home in the Stone’s Throw community, and I genuinely wish someone had warned me before I made this decision. Buying a new home should bring peace of mind. Beware potential buyers: The first year during a home warranty period, Holt will take responsibility for repairs; however, after that, they are completely hands off, even though the issues are structural or a repeated issue that also happened during the warranty period. The Warranty team stated that nails protruding and cracking the ceiling are due to normal settling and I am now responsible to repair my ceiling and their shotty work on a home that is less than two years old.

13825 NE 107th Street, Lot 30 Heartwood Neighborhood (New Development) by Holt Homes When I noticed the issue with the water, I brought it up to the sales agent Jennifer Brown. She dismissed the issue and tried to assure me that the 1-year warranty would cover any potential flooding issues for the first year. I just recently moved into my brand new Holt home. I have been consistently impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, and "above and beyond" customer service. Every step of the way they kept me informed and worked hard to meet my needs/requests. I especially thank Jenn, Jake, Curtis & TJ, but also everyone in the main office who helped make my dream of my new home come true.
