I know a couple of females who’ve worked there about a month ago or so (one is a minor 17 yo). These young ladies have put in many complaints to the manager (Annette) about 2 cooks (Alex & Wilson) sexually/verbally harassing them. Yes these girls have told them to stop and tried to put them in their place since the manager couldn’t. Instead of Annette taking action to do further investigation as her duty as a manager, she decided to retaliate against them by cutting hours and only scheduling shifts with Alex and Wilson. There has been occasions where I’ve gone inside and seen them looking at these young ladies inappropriately. Prior to this incident, there was a female who had found out she was pregnant. When she communicated with Annette about appointments she had (she was working between 70-80 hours a week), they decided to fire her. That screams RETALIATION! The 17 yo would work 5-6 days a week from 5pm-1am. They were paid hourly and tips (tips were given every month). Now last time I checked it is illegal to have a minor working until 1am anywhere! When I approached Annette about the matter she claimed that the 17 yo told her she was 18. You know what’s crazy, is the fact that when she was on boarding she provided a state ID and social! Those documents get submitted into the I9 to verify employment status. How was she not a aware of a minor working in her establishment. After a month of being there she decided to quit because she couldn’t handle the harassment and retaliation which is understandable. Why do we need to quit a job because we feel uncomfortable? Shouldn’t the person causing that discomfort get fired? The 17 yo went to pick up her tips on Friday August 21, 2020 (mind you she worked 5-6 days a week averaged about $15-$20 tips a night) and she only received $25 in tips! That is ridiculous! After I confronted the situation she was given an additional $50. They thought they could get away with it because she’s a minor when in reality I’m a manager myself and she has me to back her up. Annette and the owner George Liakopoulos are incompetent and have no integrity to run businesses. These employers need to focus on hiring quality rather than quantity. I would NOT recommend working or eating there.
