The office staff was helpful and professional. Dr. Michaelson was extremely knowledgeable, explained things well, and I have a surgical appointment in just over a month!
I just had my second surgical procedure in the past 8 months, and both times Dr. Michaelson and her staff were extremely skilled, professional, and caring. I am extremely phobic about medical care, to the point where it took 20+ years to finally address a problem that should have been taken care of long ago. Dr. Michaelson performed a colon resection on me a few years ago; she had difficulty completing the surgery, taking double the predicted time, and continued bleeding two days later required the assistance of one of her colleagues to re-suture the colon. Eventually the healing completed, but apparently the surgery resulted in damage to the cavernous nerve and an almost complete erectile dysfunction. I had a consult about possible surgery and I was impressed by Dr. Michaelson. She explained very clearly, even drew pictures, discussed all the risks and benefits, and made me feel I'd be in the best of hands, should I decide to have surgery. She also has a good sense of humor, which to me is an important part of the treatment. Will report back after I have surgery.
I HAD AN INFECTED GALLBLADDER (MESSY JOB) REMOVED WITHOUT A HITCH. I HAVE MINIMAL PAIN AFTER AND AM HEALING NICELY. ALL OF THE STAFF WERE VERY COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. DR. MICHAELSON EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THOROUGHLY AND IT WAS EASY TO UNDERSTAND. THANKS SO MUCH!!

Dr. Holly Michaelson gave me an infection that showed up 24 hours after my hernia repair, then did some REALLY SHADY sh*t to hide that fact when I was hospitalized for days for it so she could cover her butt. She's really, really lucky I unexpectedly got pregnant the next month so I didn't have the time or energy to report her to the state. It was so, so bad!
She took my gallbladder out and it was a breeze. No issues, 5 years later and no pain. I'm about to have a hernia fixed by her. She's direct, honest, and has a sense of humor, which I like. She answered all of my questions, her nurse is great, and I trust her. She was very clear about risks, but is confident in what she's doing. I feel that her sense of dry humor lightens the mood. She says it like it is, doesn't beat around the bush w/ anything.
Dr. Michaelson literally saved my life following an injury from a colonoscopy done by another doctor. I also found her to be patient, sensitive, and very thorough. I would recommend her to anyone in need of surgery.
