Unfortunately, what Dr. Kricher has done to me, what I've written about is absolutely true. I understand your need to defend her--I used to truly admire her; but she terminated me abruptly, no termination therapy to help me cope, no referrals, and quite sarcastic and nasty when I tried to understand why and phoned her. She absolutely used to promise me, in order to gain my trust initially, that she would never disrupt 'our connection' and I so counted on that promise! I have no forum, no way to try to understand what happene... read more
I have known Dr. Kricher professionally for 20 years. She has touched and improved upon many lives in her years of practice. I am puzzled and deeply saddened by the malicious and slanderous reviews of one very troubled individual, especially knowing Dr. Kricher's level of commitment to the clients she serves. She has unconditional positive regard, patience, and wisdom to offer anyone who is seeking comfort and hope. I give her my very highest recommendation.
Dr. Kricher is very respected within the psychology community and has a wonderful professional reputation. I am saddened to see that one individual (using different alias') has decided to defame her. I have found her to be a clinically astute, compassionate, and ethical psychologist.
Likes to state she is willing to work with you on your anger issues; however she, I believe, doesn't know how to deal with her own feelings of anger! --if she gets mad at you or you express your anger with her, she may initiate a silent treatment against you(as she did with me). She also doesn't speak to her own sister!
Termination was sudden , without preparation for me to cope with the drastic change, and quite cruel--even used sarcasm and condescending manner when I told her that I was experiencing a lot of emotional pain. I guess I grew too predictable for her intelligence in psychology. I'm saying it this way because Dr. Kricher literally mocked how I was going to respond to this intentionally cold pain-inflicting ending of what was to me, an important relationship in my life.
Very empathetic, especially with substance abuse issues and termination of care: she'll say when upset 'go and do that little thing, whatever it is; and 'have your little pain episode over there ' . Then she'll do what my mom did when I was anorexic and give you 1 and only 1 session to terminate (even after years of therapy treatment) and 'wash her hands' of the 'whole thing '.
Did this psychologist rush your appointment? No, I was able to ask as many questions as I wanted Did you feel safe in this provider's care? Absolutely! I knew I was being cared for by an expert! Did this provider ever take personal phone calls while in the appointment room with you? He/she would never do that! Their full attention is always on me. Did you leave the office feeling satisfied with your visit? Completely! Did they follow up with you after your appointment? Yes, they made sure I had everything I needed!
