I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Walker at Elmhurst Hospital. I was referred for exhaustion, low iron levels, abnormal blood results, and persistent low-grade fevers, but instead of receiving appropriate care, I felt ignored and dismissed. Despite explaining why my previous doctor and I had determined that iron supplements were not a viable option for me—citing severe constipation that had put me in the hospital, heavy periods, and poor absorption—he continued to push pills as the solution.
