Dr. Pema and her team at HVH are wonderful. The atmosphere is calm and friendly. My dog, Nico, goes in for acupuncture to help with neurological deficits in his rear as well as nutritional support for his Lymphoma. Nico is thriving and I feel strongly that Dr. Pema's assistance and expertise has contributed greatly to his quality of life.

Dr. Pema and the entire HVH staff are friendly and knowledgeable and truly care about your pet’s wellbeing. The office is a very welcoming, calm environment which is a plus for the pets. Dr. Pema is excellent in treating animals holistically and is not averse to incorporating modern medicine into the pet’s healthcare regimen as needed. Our animals love Dr. Pema so we do, too. They thrive under her care. She is about boosting their health, not just vaccinating the living daylights out of them or treating problems (although her treatments have been very effective). She is very responsive when we have questions or request help long-distance, too. She’s the best small-animal vet we have ever used in MD, and with the large menagerie of pets we have and two decades in this region we have tried many different veterinary practices.
Amazing vet! She has given excellent care to all my dogs.
