I went to stay here a bit back with some friends, and Ken was awesome! We had issues with the hot tub being too cold and he went above and beyond to get the tub fixed. He also fixed our room keys! He was very kind and helpful! Recommend 10/10
The hotel is very nice. The decor, the staff, and seating areas are all very nice. We had 2 rooms on 2 separate occasions (we took an overnight to Mackinac). The first room was cold and the blankets were a sheet with a thin blanket on top. The second room was hot. We couldn't get the AC to really cool the room. And it was loud. It woke us up several times. Sounded like a motorcycle. The food is basically hotel food. Expect powdered eggs, basic coffee, etc. But free is free, so manage your expectations. The food was awful and not vegetarian friendly. The bathrooms were tiny and not well supplied.
Weird. Window is into the lobby...so you can never open the curtains. Than at 10 or 11 the bar decided to start playing loud music all night in the lobby and was really annoying to try to sleep. Plus the room was near the elevator so that was going all night. The most horrible hotel room I ever had because of those things. Front desk was nice, and room was clean. So just watch where your room is.
