This doctor not only communicates extremely well with patients and families, he has a tremendous caring approach. His nurses had already told me he was great but when my dad was admitted for more than ten days for a spinal fracture due to Cancer, he has not only the best Doctor you could ask for, he made my dad feel some hope and comfort for what seems to be terminal. We wish the best for this superior human being.
This summer my husband was admitted to St. Luke's for multiple organ failure due to a heart failure (virus related). Dr. Holguin called me multiple times and gave me hope when no-one else did. His encouragement got me through for which I will be eternally grateful. My husband is doing fabulously, which is amazing b/c the other doctors told me he wasn't likely to survive. Their current assessment is now in line with Dr. Holguin's.
