While dealing with SSA, the process is slow, with little to no communication from them, for long periods of time. I found the paralegals and attorneys to be helpful at setting those expectations from the beginning. As my file came to an end, SSA finally moved at much speedier pace. They helped me with all my questions and never made me feel like anything I asked was silly. Everything was explained to me in a way that I could understand it and if I needed clarification they were always willing to give me that clarification.
