In 1975 Paul Hoffman purchased a small candy shop in Lake Worth, Florida. His goal was to start a business that combined his two great loves, homemade chocolate and spending time with his family. Dedicated to using only the best ingredients and century-old chocolate-making traditions, he would bring sweetness to Palm Beach county by opening four chocolate and ice cream shops. Nestled in DelRay Marketplace, Hoffman's Chocolates offers an indulgent destination for all your chocolate cravings. The shop is renowned for its diverse selection, including decadent chocolate-covered pretzels, delectable assortments, creamy fudge, and rich ice cream - all made with the freshest, most delicious ingredients.
The scoop size was a complete rip off. They don't offer a kid size, if you order 1 scoop they charge you the price of two (written on the menu)...however, the two scoop minimum was about 3 tablespoons of ice cream. Not even enough ice cream to fill the base of the cake cone (I ordered the cone on the side).
We made a small purchase of chocolate covered pecans. When removed from the bag while outside the store, the candy displayed a whitish tinge. This is called chocolate bloom and was not visible on the stock in the display window. The store took it back. I am rating this store with an overall one star because the chocolate bloom evidences poor handling which can impair taste and texture.
