As a former resident I was pleased to find out that my former "home" now offers outpatient therapy. The therapist has been wonderful, patient, and is highly qualified. The rest of the staff is on the ball, making all aspects of my visits comfortable. Many years ago I lived at this facility. As a young person I felt safe and received the help I needed to navigate life as an adult. Looking back all I can say is thank you.
My son went to Hoffman Academy after being bullied through middle school in New Oxford. The amount of effort and support that was given to him was unbelievable. They took the time to see my son not just his behavioral issues. The staff is amazing. Mr Daniel one of his teachers even mentored my son on grooming and was an excellent male role model above and beyond teaching. Ms Courtney is another teacher that made a lasting impression. ⸻ I don’t understand how this place is still operating. I was there about five years ago in the RTF program, and again about a year ago in the independent living program. When I was in the independent living part, a lot of kids were bringing in drugs and other things that should have never been allowed. One staff member even stole my Cash App card, which had $80 on it. The girls there were dirty, and the staff did nothing to help.
