If your child has been referred here due to a scoliosis diagnosis, you are in the right hands now. Carl has corrected my daughters scoliosis from 36° down to now 11°, she likely won't need surgery and we will forever be grateful for that.
I am a senior and was experiencing significant pain while walking or standing due to severe scoliosis. Carl, in collaboration with Madison from the Scoli clinic designed a brace for me. Using the brace and a walker has literally changed my life. I can now walk miles without pain where before I could only manage a block or two. Carl at Hodgeson Orthotics has been an angel in our daughter’s scoliosis journey. Although his office is a far drive for us, her spine surgeon insisted he was worth it. My daughter was referred here by BC Children’s Hospital for a back brace to treat her scoliosis. Over the last couple of years Carl made her two braces (she outgrew the first one). Throughout the process he made sure the braces were fitting well and made adjustments to them as she grew. Carl is very skilled at his job and obviously cares a lot about his patients. We had the pleasure of working with Shaughn for most of all our fittings. As a new parent, I was so worried about going through with the process however we are so glad we did! Shaughn was professional, responsive, thorough and easy to work with! I highly recommend the experience and am so amazed with the results!
