This is not your typical perting zoo, they had such a variety of animals. They rescue animals and some are released back into the wild, while others cannot and stay there. The people were so sweet, knowledgeable, fun and so good with the animals. Snuggling the skunk was definitely my favorite 😁
Completely unexpected gem in the heart of Hochatown. Whether you have kids with you or not, you will want to visit this place. So many neat rescued animals that you can really get up close to! They give you a tour around and tell you about all the animals and the great rescue work they do there. Great place to support and a fun hour or so with a huge variety of friendly animals! A must if you are in the area.

We have been here several times and it has always been a pleasurable experience. What they do here is such a wonderful thing. It’s more than just a petting zoo, it’s an animal rescue for wildlife. Deer, raccoons, skunks, opossums, beavers, owls, and a variety of other animals, reptiles, and birds. They take care of these animals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We had the best experience at the Hochatown Petting Zoo last summer. Talk about fun for us critter lovers! I will visit every time I’m in the area!!!
This place was filthy, we felt terrible for the animals. It really needs to be cleaned up. The stench when you walk in to pay was horrible, the cages all need cleaned, there were many cages with way too many animals in them.
