I can see why this place gets such great reviews. I sent a message on facebook asking if they carried the models I wanted, and after a quick response verifying they did I went right over. The owner checked to see if I needed help then let me take my time to pick something that looked fun, and even showed me where the paints were that I would need for the models I planned to buy. Wow! Went to this store while passing through Tempe (we live in Mesa). The store was well-stocked with a huge variety of games. The management was knowledgeable and friendly, going so far as to offer to put us on a waitlist for a game they would be restocking. Here’s where it gets interesting. When they didn’t get the game in their order, instead of just not calling (no product in hand to sell), they called anyway to let me know where I COULD get the game now that it had been reprinted and restocked online. Had a lovely time at Game Depot AZ. Just recently moved back to the valley and have been looking for a local game store. Staff is A+ and the local players are very nice. They even spent time to teach my son and I how to play Pokémon.
New to the area and was looking for Battletech/MechWarrior things. Very helpful and courteous. Got almost everything (being as MechWarrior is hard to come by these days). In the end it was a pleasant experience even though they attacked MY HOME PLANET! 😂
I hear great things about the owners but I felt a little shunned when inquiring one of their employees on a game that they sell. I also asked if perhaps anyone else would be more knowledgeable on the game but clerk was rather short with me if not disinterested in my inquiries. I honestly was ready to buy being I am a HUGE advocate for small business but after this rather experience, I can't necesarily say I would want to come back. Meh.
Customer service was great. The owner is knowledgeable with tabletop games and cards games. Overall, this store is better than the store Bullhead City, Arizona has...
