I cannot praise enough the treatment I received from the ED here a few weeks ago. Long story short ... I was almost crippled with pain and after seeing THREE different GPs got absolutely nowhere. More in hope than faith, and in desperation I reported to Hobart Private ED as a last resort. The diagnosis I received there was thorough as was the treatment. The doctor on duty arranged for me to have four scans, X rays, etc. and arranged for me to see an orthopaedic surgeon urgently. They also gave me a script for some decent pai... read more

The Hobart Private Emergency Department is a disgrace. I rang a few days ago and asked to speak with a nurse. I spoke with a broken English speaking nurse. I advised her that my father had heart disease and was registering high blood pressure despite being on blood pressure medication and wanted to know if the reading was concerning enough to bring him in. Her words to me exactly were "and what do you want from me"? I was floored!!!! I told her that as she was a nurse and I was not, that I wanted to know if dads reading was ... read more
