I used Hlavaty once before and wasn't completely satisfied, but the job got done. It felt like they were just guessing at parts to replace and charging for each one until something worked. Just had them out to fix a shower leak and they quoted me $1200 because it would be an all day project I told them on the phone that doesn't make any sense and she told me the job was talked over with their manager and that's what it would cost. Prepaid for 2 services for heating and cooling system. They had to reschedule me 2 weeks after my first appointment which was fine. Then wanted to reschedule me again 2 hrs before they were supposed to be there after I had already taken off work. They get a 2nd star for offering a free service after I requested my refund. I declined, I will not use again.

Wow. Gone are the days of the familiar Yellow Hlavaty truck arriving. I called back in July to have regular, routine maintenance done to my boiler unit. When the day came for my appointment two men showed up in a George Home Service Truck. The second they walked into my basement the talking started. “Wow, that’s an old one”. The man suggested it was from the 1980s and I “better hope it’s not any older than that”. New owners, different employees. Tech seemed A little shady, talked a lot, did little work and left breaker open to A/C. Had to contact business for receipt. Receipt stated Tune up only. So what did tech do?
