Very beautiful historic house. Host was very friendly. We would reccomend this place it is in a historic district with beautiful homes and tree lined streets.

So I try to keep my critiques as objective as possible, and I'll break this up into positives and negetives. I'll start with the positives. Positives - The house is beautiful inside and out and tries to reflect its age in every way possible. It has what appears to be beautiful antique furniture. The proprietor really draws out the character of the house without drawing too much attention to the modern day amenities. I'm very glad I stayed at this unique, charming property. It's more comfortable and more beautiful than any mainstream hotel, and the owner is kind, helpful, and responsive. The location is perfect - easy walking distance to downtown, surrounded by other beautiful homes from the same period. I will definitely stay again if I ever pass back through Sioux Falls.

Shortly after booking, I received a separate email from the property owner demanding a security deposit via an external website — including an ID upload and full credit card entry. This place is terrible. The screen door is falling off the front door. It is obvious that any monies is going into someone's pocket because there have been no improvements to the outside in years. The place doesn't look liveable. I would dare to spend an hour in this place.
