Celebrated Japanese cuisine expert Hirohisa Hayashi is the head chef at the quaint Hirosiha in Soho. The restaurant serves Kappo cuisine prepared by using traditional Japanese methods like stewing, brewing and simmering. Minimalist and elegant décor gives way to an up-scale ambience with the open kitchen being the focus point. Guests can order dishes off the menu or select a set seven or ten course tasting menu. The menu at the restaurant is seasonal, thus making use of the best ingredients available in every season. ... read more

One Michelin star.
Do the omakase!
Suggest picking the raw food over grilled for the omakase
Loved the goma tofu and chef's homemade soba! The unagi was way over-grilled unfortunately.
Omakase + plum sake. Very few pictures of the interior so here you go.
lunch omakase $55, dinner $100/$150
Refined, creative Japanese in a zen setting. 1 of my top NYC picks: homemade shiso plum sake+ amazing combo of fresh crustaceans: Uni, lobster, abalone, scallop! Divine esp for uni & raw fish lovers!
Good Japanese but the omakase tasting menu had no nigiri =\ . The first two dishes were superb though!
Amazing stylish Japanese place, like in Tokyo! Small menu and only fresh fish!
