UPDATE: was told by the vet that it wasn't life threatening at the moment at all, to watch her for a few days to a week and make sure it doesn't get worse, vet gave her some antibiotics and some steroids and then 8 hours later my cat died. I will say thankfully it was peaceful and she just went to sleep but I'm not going to believe that it was some kind of coincidence that my cat died as soon as she left this vet office.
