I rented with them, and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. My apartment was a studio that I paid 610 a month for. That includes the 30 extra for parking (which I heard has gone up in price). This studio did not come with a stove. There was a small hotel-sized fridge (not a mini fridge) and a microwave. The only sink was in the bathroom and was literally a kitchen sink put in the bathroom. Paul showed me a rental unit. Said it would be ready in a couple weeks or so. Called me Said it was ready. Went by signed the lease, payed first month rent and deposit. Then went to city office to have utilities turned on that day. Went over to apartment the place was a mess. Broken glass on floor, no painting, no storm windows, loose toilet and kitchen faucet, cooking stove filthy, refrigerator full of mold and doesn't work properly. Doesn’t deserve a star. Only rent here if you enjoy feeling dirty, unsafe, and enjoy fighting with elderly landlords. Place was filthy when we arrived, he accused us of putting tampons in the toilet so he wouldn’t have to take accountability for poor maintenance, (the plumbing would get messed up and reek because the house is 100+ years old), handled all matters unprofessionally i seriously cannot believe some of the things that came out of his mouth, would show up unannounced and let himself in, and had maintenance come ove... read more

I highly recommend renting from Paul Hinshaw if you’re looking for adventure and a chance to experience substandard, hazardous housing. Signing a lease with him is a great way to experience a dirty, unmaintained apartment, with the added bonus of wondering whether your daughter will be safe living there.
