My four roommates and I lived in a house on east campus rented from Hinshaw Properties. We understood living on east campus in a house was not going to be luxurious, but truly it was worse than we could have imagined. I rented from Paul a year ago, and it was a great experience. I am was an exchange student from Moldova and unlike other landlords I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. He offered great prices (the best I could find) and quick maintenance. I rented a studio in 1409 rosemary and I had some issues with the smoke alarms but he sent maintenance over within the day and got it fixed. I rented from Paul about 2 years ago and I loved every minute of it. He has some of the cheapest apartments in town, and they aren’t as run down as some other landlords. Of course, with the price comes some shortfalls but nothing to write home about. I rented an apartment in Holiday Arms and never had a huge issue, once some pipes did freeze but he called maintenance and got it fixed within the week. 10/10
