My husband and I weren’t sure we needed a doula, but after talking with a few folks who had utilized a doula before, we decided it would be a good idea to have more support, more knowledge, and someone to advocate for us. I had first contacted Sheryll in 2022 for my first one, but I went into labour before I could engage her formally. I really liked her warm nature over the video call back then, I had her on my mind all these 3.5 years. I was honestly a doula skeptic before having my son, but my OB highly recommended it and so after speaking with a few doulas, I chose Sheryll to support us. I ended up having a very long induction—I was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday and didn’t give birth until Friday! This review is for postpartum services. I used Carrot Fertility benefits. I wish I had Sheryll around for my first baby but am so thankful I found her for my second baby! She saved me from complete exhaustion and sleep deprivation. I always trusted her to take care and keep my baby safe, be mindful of my needs and respectful of my home. Sheyrll was super helpful with our first newborn. She is really fast and knowledgeable. She helped with cleaning, changing diapers, breastfeeding, organising, making stations, appointments, replacing pumps, mail and more. She gave me a lot of resources before I gave birth to help with labor and preparing for a positive birth experience.
